With your budget, the nature of your business, and your website vision in mind, your
estimate will reflect all of these considerations.
From the layout of your site
along with your own personalized or customized theme, right up unto the smallest details
of your graphics, every attention is paid to your website assuring your complete
satisfaction. Knowing that at any time during the design process you can change your mind
about something without penalty, makes this a painless and even exciting experience as you
watch your website blossom.
Using your predetermined
artwork or logos, your website can be such an extension of your business to any degree you
wish or to a lesser degree, a more active version of your artwork or logo through
animation or alteration. No problem at all if you don't have a logo, we do that too. Rest
assured that when we design, you own it! We design your website (logo, banner, graphic,
copy, theme, etc...) - you own it - the style and copy is not on lease. When final payment
is received it's yours forever. We do, of course, retain the right to refer to your design
as our creation, and to indicate this in the coding.
As well as being aesthetically
pleasing and easy to navigate, your website also needs content. The internet adage:
Content is King is exactly correct. A pretty website is not worth it's "byte" if
there is no content. With this in mind, we can manually input your copy from your
brochures or booklets, let you create your copy from scratch and send it to us to insert,
or let us do it! We can simply start the copy if you suffer from writer's block and would
be pleased were you to want to take over or suggest the changes. You could act as director
if you wish or as the copywriter; your involvement can be as little or as involved as you
like, and we welcome it either way.
Unlike other large corporate
designers who have no problem with charging you $150 an hour to cubbyhole your website
with other number-like no-named, faceless designs, you can feel secure in knowing there is
only one person who will be working on your website. Free consultation
throughout the entire process of your project assures you that it will
turn out how you want it to turn out.
Every aspect of your website
from beginning to end is considered before giving you an estimate. What also may be
surprising to you is that the design rate of $45 an hour covers everything directly
involved with the design of your site! There is no extra charge for such things as
template design, layout, raw HTML coding, java scripting, applet implementation, scanning, altering graphics,
designing custom graphics for your site, logos, or even copywriting,
installing bulletin boards, shopping carts, e-commerce deployment. Everything directly related to
the design and functionality of the site is always charged by the hourly rate.
(Features costing extra are features that have nothing to do with the
website as it stands alone: Domain name registration, hosting, translations to different languages, page optimization for
targeted high placement into the search engines, and submission to 500+ search engine/directories)
In addition to getting what
you pay for, you also have two hours of bonus design you can cash in on within 60 days of
going live. This is helpful when the more you look at something you don't like, the more
you want it changed. Yes, even those purchasing design have a bit of design remorse they'd
like to remedy from time to time and Kathi's Virtual Office understands this and doesn't
think you need to be charged for it. Large changes, such as a changing of your theme,
estimated to be more than 2 hours, will be billed after two hours or will be billed
pursuant to large changes with the 2 bonus hours saved for after the big change - you
choose.
